This summer, MCLA English Professor Dr. Jenna Sciuto spent three months in Iceland to examine transatlantic connections, gender dynamics, and saga realism in Icelandic feminist writer Svava Jakobsdóttir.
MCLA English and Creative Writing Professor Zack Finch's lyric essay, "The Spirit Cabinet" was recognized in Best Essays of 2022, edited by Alexander Chee. In tandem with the publication of the essay, the editors of Colorado Review interviewed Prof. Finch about the two-year writing and research process that resulted in the piece.
