New Student Orientation

Starting as a trailblazer
MCLA's New Student Orientation is organized into two parts: Online Orientation Canvas Course and In-Person Orientation. Both components are vital to your success and transition into the MCLA community. During orientation you will connect with departments and services on campus, meet with faculty and staff, get the hang of navigating your new home, and meet with fellow classmates.
We’ve created an Online Orientation in Canvas to support your transition to MCLA. This online resource introduces you to campus throughout the summer while helping you become familiar with the Canvas platform used across the MCLA community.
All new first-year and transfer students are required to participate in an in-person Orientation to get connected with MCLA resources and have any last questions answered
The online orientation is hosted in Canvas, a learning management system and digital learning tool used by the MCLA community in and out of the classroom. Not only will this site introduce you to MCLA throughout the summer, but it will also help you become familiar with the Canvas platform. Once you've submitted your enrollment deposit you will be sent an email with information on how to access this Canvas site. Having trouble gaining access to the Online Orientation Canvas site? Items you'll find in Canvas:
